
When in need of assistance, our Angel Dogs "Clooney and Walter" Medical Assistance helps performance, service and sport dog families (in disciplines such as, but not limited to, agility, conformation, dock dogs, scent work, obedience, field trials, service dogs, therapy dogs, search dogs, military and law K9's working or retired)-with veterinary care due to accidents illnesses and other emergencies in all 50 states.
Based out of Sparks NV our goal is to assist when unexpected care is needed by supporting canines with necessary equipment, care and financial assistance to allow working canines to return to their very best life
Our Angel Dogs “Clooney & Walter” Canine Medical Assistance is a non-profit organization founded in 2024 to support families of performance, service, working, and sport dogs with unexpected veterinary expenses, enabling these dogs to receive necessary care and return to their best lives. The organization honors two remarkable dogs, Clooney & Walter, whose stories highlight the importance of medical assistance for canines facing serious health challenges.
· Clooney’s achievements and illness: Clooney (4/26/2014 – 12/19/2021) was a highly accomplished yellow Labrador Retriever with 61 performance titles across various dog sports. In 2021, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor requiring surgery and extensive post-operative care, with medical expenses reaching $19,500 despite insurance.
· Walter’s challenges and accomplishments: Walter, (11/28/2021 -09/28/2023) clinically blind Miniature Dachshund with severe scoliosis and inflammatory brain disease competed successful and competitively until the age of 22 months when he died due to pneumonia following a wasp sting, with medical bills exceeding $25,000.
· Founding purpose of the organization: Inspired by Clooney & Walter’s resilience and the significant medical costs they incurred, the non-profit was established to assist dog owners with unexpected veterinary expenses, ensuring dogs can access critical care and continue thriving.
Medical care and support:Both dogs received specialized veterinary care, including surgery, physical therapy, and neurologists’ consultations, demonstrating the level of commitment and resources required to manage complex canine health issues.
